Topology Knowledge: Auto-Generated Service and Infrastructure Maps

Castrel can now generate topology knowledge from data sources such as APM and CMDB, showing service and infrastructure relationships, and you can edit it by hand. Users can inspect the topology directly, and Castrel uses it as shared context when handling alerts and investigating incidents.

New Feature: Topology Knowledge

Castrel can now generate topology knowledge from connected data sources such as APM and CMDB, organizing service and infrastructure dependency and deployment relationships in one system topology. You can see the service relationships without mapping them by hand.

A generated topology is editable — add nodes and adjust relationships so it matches your architecture. The topology stays available as shared context for later operations: you can inspect service dependencies and impact directly, while Castrel uses the same information when handling alerts, investigating incidents, or running routine checks.
